SERVICES

All Saints is a friendly, bible believing church, at the heart of the village community.

Sawtry has a proud history, dating form Roman times. At one time there was an abbey as well as several churches. Two medieval churches were pulled down, and the current building was opened in 1880. So Christians have been worshipping in Sawtry for a long time. But our aim remains the same: to be a community of Christians who spread the good news about Jesus.

All are welcome at our church. We aim to make Christianity relevant to the 21st century, and to help you build a relationship with God.

Sundays at All Saints

We have a robed choir which accompanies all the main services. New members (adults and children) are always welcome.

There is a children’s area in church where babies and toddlers can play quietly during the services. Activity packs for children are available.

Learning and growing in faith

We all need help to grow in our faith, help to understand the Bible and time to discuss together what it means to live as a Christian in today’s world. House groups, Lent courses and other opportunities for exploring and deepening faith are arranged.

Prayer and care

The church meets to pray, as announced. The church building is normally open Saturdays, 2-4 p.m., as a place for prayer or for a cuppa and a chat. The Rector or one of the ministry team will visit anyone who is housebound, lonely or just wishes to talk, and the Rector is happy to receive requests for prayer.

More about Jesus

If you want to know more about the Christian faith, we’d love to help you. From time to time we run the Alpha Course which people tell us is a great place to start. If you’re just looking for something to read on the web, here’s a great website www.rejesus.co.uk. Or you can ask all sorts of questions about Jesus Christ and the Christian faith here.

Or if you’d like to sign up for a five weeks’ worth of free emails about the basics of the Christian faith, visit www.nowachristian.org
