Harvest Supper 2013

This year we welcomed between eighty and a hundred people to our annual Good Friday Special – an afternoon for people of all ages in our village to get together and remember the Easter story of hope and new life after Jesus’ death.

We painted egg shaped candles; made crosses from salt dough; beaded bracelets that reminded us of each part of the story; made Easter cards and sliding pictures.   We enjoyed an Easter drama acted out by children from our Discoverers and Adventurers groups with older members of our congregation.  Finally the younger ones enjoyed an Easter Egg hunt in the garden around the church and we shared the chocolaty treasure!

Good Friday Special has been running for over a decade now and it’s always great to see so many people enjoying the activities and each other’s company on this special afternoon.
